sunday citar....'i'm no julie'

it's been only recently that i've re-entered the

wonderful world of blogging once again.....

and with that comes the weekly occurance of

it's a wonderful idea from my adorable

friend tab @

so i'm tying another new obsession of

mine into my sunday citar

and it is

(insert drumroll here)

one of my newest and all time

favorite movies now!

partially because it's about blogging,

and also because it's wonderfully acted,

delightfully witty and adorable,

and about something i love to do....COOK!

if you haven't had the privledge, it's a must see!

(warning: this is a 'chick flick' so you may

want to wait til the men are gone)

it's the journey of how blogging made one woman

very famous! each time i see it i want to be

a better blogger....

oh, and learn how to add cool little gadgets

like count-downs to my blog!

i'm planning on a blogging tutorial some time

in the near future with one of my

other dear friends, ashlee,

who coincidentally is a blogger as well @

stop by both for a visit....they would love that!

but back to the movie...

it's set in two different eras, two different

countries, America and France,

and it's charming and addicting!

check out

for a great trailor!

it stars Amy Adams (on the left) as the real Julie Powell (on the right)

and Meryl Streep (above)

as Julia Child (on the right)

now for the citar.....

"I sincerely believe blogging can save America."

John Jay Hooker

"The influence of blogging is overall

a very positive force in the media."

sunday citar....'changes'

it's about that time again....
ahhh, just love sundays for so many reasons....
and one of them is 'sunday citar'
created by my wonderful friend tabitha blue
@ Fresh Mommy!
with the season changing,
as well as the time, air and color of the sky,
i thought that 'change' would be a perfect
thing to share some inspiration about....
"I can be changed but what happens to me,
but I refuse to be reduced by it."
Maya Angelou

"If you begin to understand what you are
without trying to change it,
then what you are undergoes a transformation."
Jiddu Krishnamurti

"Failure is not fatal,
but failure to change might be."

sunday citar.....'a toy story'

what could be more fun,
than an afternoon at
and my favorite little man in the
whole wide world!

"There's a snake in my boots!"

Buzz Lightyear
Space Ranger
"At last. I'm gonna get played with!"

"C'mon, let's see
how much
we're going
for on

"Yeah, I'd like to loosen his stitching."
Slinky Dog

"I told you
kids to stay
out of my
Mr. Potato Head

"Well aren't you just the sweetest space
toy I ever did meet!"

"This is
from what,

"So who's ready for Ken's Dream Tour?"

"Come on Ken,
recess don't last

118 days and counting......

as i was thumbing through my photos...
searching for bloggerland inspiration...
i stumbled upon the pictures of our last 4th of july celebration.
for years now, we have traveled very close to home,
to our very favorite spot of summer...
a town so small you can drive through it in about one minute or less!
it's not even a town, it's actually considered a village.
but on the 4th, they knock it out of the park!!!
this quaint, tiny little beach and hillside are crammed with
several thousand people, all ready to celebrate and swim!

there's rarely a spot of green grass left by midday time...

of course, for my little man, it's mostly about the swimming!

that goes for my friends girls too...

but as you can see, waaaay back in the corner there,
they bring in the 'blow-ups', which are even more
fun when you're wet!
they even brought in a rock wall last year!

during the day, this band played some great
old 'rock-n-roll' tunes from under the pavillion...

and near the entrance you can find things to buy such as
elephant ears, fresh-grilled hot dogs, popcorn
and various glow-in-the-dark toys and trinkets!
this chillin' beauty on the right in the green and blue,
is my best friend jenney...

and as the nights fall in,
another band took over and people begin to dance,
anxiously awaiting the boom, boom, boom
of the impending fireworks!

(barely) sunday citar......26 vs. 100!

this beautiful little boy
with the gorgeous big brown eyes is
asher is plagued by the double A's...
allergies and asthma!
and as par for the course,
(32 last year)
he's missed a lot of school this year!
and i do mean a lot!!!!
this year he's missed 26 days so
far and will be missing at least
one more this week,
as he is currently sick again....
this is the great hat we made for his
100 DAY of school celebration...

sadly though, he never got to wear it guessed it....he was sick again!
"The disease that racks and wastes thy limbs,
and the sickness in thy heart,
has flown as an eagle to a far distance,
overcome by my charm!"

what does that mean to you?
who are they in your life?

are they fictional characters?
or characters from the Bible?
or are they ordinary people,
doing extraordinary things?

the little guy on the right
is one of mine....
his name is Zach
and he's one of my
adorable little
cub scouts!
he bright, energetic,
and has such an
amazing heart!
and this little guy,
my son Asher,
is another!
he loves life and people
with every ounce of his being!
he's not afraid to try NEW things,
(with the exception of new foods, he's autistic
and only eats a handful of things)
and he's ALWAYS on the go!
people who love life and live it to the fullest have always
been my heroes as well!
people who love other people,
and show kindness every day are my heroes as well!
