fun-filled friday......halloween is underway!
one of our
MANY
holiday traditions is
decorating cookies.....
and although asher may
occasionally
eat a
sugar cookie,
he
won't
touch one with frosting on it.....
but we do it anyway....
cause he
LIVES TO SPRINKLE THEM!!!!
we always have such a
great
time too!
and the end result is always
SCRUMPTOUS!
he'll even jump right in to make some
at a school party....still
NOT
eating it, of course!
and he's finally embracing the art of crafting!
and at this time of year,
who could
resist
cutting a few holes in an
old sheet,
just to scare everyone in the house, LOL!

wordless wednesday....."TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!"
ok, so this isn't going to be totally wordless,
since these adorable pumpkins
warrant an explanation....
this has been one of our many
HALLOWEEN TRADITIONS
since asher was born...
every year i paint him a pumpkin
to match his costume...
the big one is mine,
and the little one is a quickie
attempt to copy it by asher and his na-na.

sunday citar....'never turn your back'....
a famous quote from an adorable movie,
"kindergarten cop"
goes something like this.....
"kindergarten is like the ocean,
you
NEVER
want to
turn your back
on it"....
OR YOUR KIDS FOR THAT MATTER!!!!!
"You would attain to the divine perfection,
and yet not
turn your back
upon the world."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

we have
MANY, MANY
holiday traditions in our home...
whenever they make a
'build-a-cookie house'
for
a holiday....
WE'RE ALL OVER IT!!!
this is one of asher's very
FAVORITE
things to do ...
but somehow i ususally end up wearing
more
frosting than he does....
and he's always
SOOOO
proud
of his work when he's done!

sunday citar.....artistry!
“Every artist dips his brush in his own soul,
and paints his own nature into his pictures.”
Henry Ward Beecher
"It is nature who makes our artists for us,
though it may be Art who taught them
their right mode of expression."
Oscar Wilde
